Most “modern” mail apps route your email through their own servers to process it. Mailamber doesn’t: the app on your PC talks directly to your provider over IMAP, and every message is downloaded, indexed and stored in a local database protected by your Windows profile.
Passwords and access tokens are protected with Windows DPAPI and are never transmitted to us. Our servers only manage your Mailamber account: sign-up email, active plan, devices. The content of your mail never reaches us — with one transparent exception: if you choose to use the AI assistant, only the text you submit to it is processed (full details in the privacy policy).

Honest questions, straight answers
Where are my emails?
On your PC, and only there. Mailamber downloads them directly from your provider over IMAP and stores them in a local database inside your Windows user folder. Our servers never receive them, never read them, and could not read them.
How do you make money if everything is local-first?
Through the Plus and Premium subscriptions, transparently. We don’t sell data, we don’t show ads, and we don’t analyze your mail: the one exception is the optional AI assistant, which only processes the text you choose to submit to it. The business model is the price you see on this page, nothing else.
What does the Free plan include, forever?
One email account with real-time sync, instant search, basic tracker blocking, 3 rules, 5 snoozes per month and 1 device. It’s not a trial: it’s free forever.
How does switching plans work?
With automatic proration. If you upgrade, you only pay the difference for the remaining period; if you downgrade, the change takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for. The system handles it all — no math on your side.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, anytime, in two clicks from your account area. Your subscription stays active until the end of the paid period, then you automatically return to the Free plan without losing anything stored on your PC.
What if it’s not for me?

What are the system requirements?
Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit. You don’t need a powerful machine: Mailamber is built to stay light and fast even on modest hardware.
Is PEC supported?
Yes, proudly: Italian certified mail (PEC) is supported as a first-class account. You receive and send PEC normally and, with Plus or Premium, you get full certification: acceptance and delivery receipts automatically matched to every PEC you send, with a timeline in the reader.
Can I use Gmail?
Yes, today via Google app passwords (IMAP). Verified Google OAuth sign-in is on the roadmap and will arrive in an update: in the meantime, setup takes two minutes.
How does support work?
From the Plus plan up you get ticket support right inside your account area, with replies from the team. Premium gets queue priority. And support@mailamber.app is there for everyone.
