Cookie policy
Effective from 2 September 2026 — last updated: 8 September 2026
This policy describes the cookies and similar technologies used bymailamber.app, in accordance with the ePrivacy rules (Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code, Legislative Decree 196/2003) and the Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools issued by the Italian data protection authority (Garante) on 10 June 2021. The short version: we use technical cookies only — no tracking, no profiling.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser to remember information across visits or within a session. They fall into two categories: technicalcookies — required for the site to work or to deliver a service you explicitly request — andprofiling or tracking cookies, used to follow your browsing and build profiles. Mailamber uses only the first category.
2. The cookies this site uses
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
mb_access | Technical, first-party, httpOnly | Keeps your account-area session authenticated | 15 minutes |
mb_refresh | Technical, first-party, httpOnly, restricted to the /v1/auth path | Renews the session without asking you to sign in again | 60 days |
| Paddle cookies | Technical, third-party (Paddle.com Market Ltd) | Secure operation of the checkout and fraud prevention during purchase | See the Paddle cookie policy |
The mb_access and mb_refresh cookies are set only when you sign in to your account area, with the httpOnly and Secureattributes: they cannot be read by scripts and travel only over encrypted connections. Paddle's cookies are set exclusively when the checkout opens, as needed to complete the purchase you requested.
3. localStorage and preferences
To remember a few preferences the site uses the browser's localStorage (a local storage area that is not automatically transmitted to servers): your chosen language and display preferences such as the theme. These values stay in your browser, contain no tracking identifiers, and you can remove them at any time by clearing the site's browsing data.
4. Why there is no banner
Under the Garante's Guidelines of 10 June 2021, a banner and consent collection are required only where profiling cookies or other non-technical tracking tools are present. When a website uses technical cookies only, providing this notice is sufficient — no banner and no consent request are needed (Article 122(1) of the Italian Privacy Code).
That is exactly the case for this site, which uses:
- no profiling or advertising cookies;
- no third-party analytics or statistics tools;
- no pixels, fingerprinting or other active or passive tracking techniques;
- no social widgets or embedded content dropping third-party cookies.
This is why you will not find any banner here: there is nothing to consent to, and this page is the notice required by the applicable rules.
5. How to manage them in your browser
You can view, block or delete cookies at any time from your browser settings (usually under «Privacy and security»: Chrome, Edge, Firefox and the other major browsers offer equivalent controls, per site or global). Keep in mind that blocking this site's technical cookies prevents access to the account area and completion of the checkout, while browsing the public pages keeps working fully.
6. Updates
Should this site ever introduce cookies other than technical ones, this policy will be updated before their use and, where the law requires it, a consent banner will be put in place. For any question:privacy@mailamber.app. More details on how personal data is handled are in the privacy policy.
