How much does Mailamber cost?
Mailamber has a simple business model: you pay for the software, not with your data. The Free plan is free forever — not a timed trial — and includes real-time sync, instant search, tracker blocking, attachment antivirus and even selected AI features like Smart Priority and uncertain-sender assist (in a limited form).
Plus adds unlimited accounts with a unified inbox, unlimited rules and snoozes, full PEC with certified receipts, the unsubscribe manager, automatic follow-ups and the AI copilot in the composer to write, proofread and polish emails, summaries and translations, plus AI-generated HTML templates. Premium raises the AI to a nearly six-times larger monthly limit, adds priority support, five devices and no in-app plan upgrade prompts.
For those who want the most out of tracking there’s the Tracking Pro add-on: €5.99/month (monthly only, cancel anytime), reserved for Plus and Premium, with unlimited tracked emails and reminders and link click tracking.
All payments are handled by Paddle with an invoice; you have 14 days from the purchase of each subscription (plan and add-ons) for a full refund and you can cancel anytime from your account area, staying active until the end of the period you already paid for.
Honest questions, straight answers
Where is my email stored?
On your devices, and only there. Mailamber downloads it directly from your provider (IMAP over an encrypted TLS connection) and stores it in a local database on your PC or phone. Our servers don’t receive it, don’t read it and can’t read it.
Is Mailamber available for Android?
Yes. The Mailamber Android app is on Google Play, with the same account and plan as your PC: unified inbox, Sign in with Microsoft, read receipts ✓✓, follow-ups, snoozes, rules and AI. Rules, templates, signatures and preferences stay in sync between PC and phone; your emails don’t — they stay on each device.
Can I use Hotmail, Outlook or Microsoft 365?
Yes, with “Sign in with Microsoft”: connect Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live or a Microsoft 365 account through Microsoft’s official sign-in, with no password to copy and no servers to configure. It works on both the PC and the Android app.
Can I use Gmail?
Yes, in a simple, guided way. Mailamber walks you through it step by step: you turn on Google’s 2-Step Verification, create a 16-character “app password” and paste it into the app. In about a minute your Gmail or Google Workspace mailbox is connected, with no technical settings.
How do you make money if everything is local-first?
Through Plus and Premium subscriptions, transparently. We don’t sell data, we don’t show ads and we don’t analyze your mail: the only exception is the optional AI, which processes only the text the feature you use needs, after your consent. The business model is the price you see, nothing else.
What does the Free plan include, forever?
One email account with real-time sync, instant search, tracker blocking, attachment checks, Smart Priority, free AI for priority and smart spaces, 3 rules, 5 snoozes a month, 5 tracked emails ✓✓ and 5 reminders a month, and 1 device. It isn’t a time-limited trial: it’s free forever.
Is AI included in the Free plan too?
Yes. On Free, AI runs on free models and only after your consent: AI priority refines the tags of messages local rules can’t decide, and smart spaces AI assist recognizes uncertain senders. Plus and Premium add premium AI on cloud models: the AI copilot in the composer with proofreading, summaries, translation, quick replies and AI HTML templates; Premium adds a monthly limit almost 6 times larger.
Can I know whether my emails are delivered and read?
Yes: while you write, the ✓✓ button turns tracking on for that email; in Settings you can choose to have it start on (it’s off by default). Each tracked email shows ✓ on delivery and ✓✓ on open, the same on PC and phone, with a real-time notification on first open; counting excludes security scanners, bots and your own opens; you can also be reminded if no reply arrives within 24, 48, 72 hours or a time you choose. We never keep the recipient’s IP in clear or their device, only a pseudonym of the IP — it’s up to you to inform recipients where the law requires it. Monthly limits: 5 emails on Free (with the Mailamber signature), 500 on Plus, 1,000 on Premium; with the Tracking Pro add-on they become unlimited and link clicks are added.
What is the Tracking Pro add-on?
An optional boost for people who work with offers, quotes and clients: €5.99 a month (monthly only, cancel anytime), available on Plus and Premium. It unlocks UNLIMITED tracked emails and follow-up reminders and adds link CLICK tracking: see when and how many times your links are opened, with the counter right in the message list. You turn it on in a minute from your account area.
Is PEC supported?
Yes, as a first-class account. PEC is Italy’s certified email system: you receive and send PEC normally and, with Plus or Premium, you get full certification — acceptance and delivery receipts automatically matched to each PEC you send, dedicated notifications and a timeline in the reader, on PC and Android. Outside Italy, Mailamber simply works as a complete email client.
Do settings sync between PC and phone?
Yes. With the same Mailamber account, rules, templates, signatures and preferences stay aligned between the Windows and Android apps. Emails and passwords never pass through our servers: each device connects directly to your provider.
What are the system requirements?
Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit (x64 or ARM64) for PC, and an Android phone or tablet with Google Play. No powerful machine needed: Mailamber is designed to be light and fast even on modest hardware.
Are attachments safe?
Every attachment you receive is analyzed before you open or save it: instant local checks plus Windows Defender on PC, with a green/yellow/red badge and a safety block on dangerous files. It all happens on your device, on every plan, without sending anything to anyone.
Can I protect my account with two-factor authentication?
Yes, it’s optional but recommended: turn on two-factor sign-in (TOTP) from your account area with an authenticator app like Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator. From then on, signing in needs the app’s code as well as your password.
What is Smart Priority?
It’s the feature that automatically brings the messages that matter to the top, with clear labels like “Reply now”, “Deadline” or “Payment”. It works with local rules right on your device and is included in every plan; if you like, AI priority refines the uncertain cases. You can turn it off with one click in Settings.
Can I translate emails into another language?
Yes, with one click. When you open an email in a language other than yours, the “Translate” button offers it in the app language. The translation keeps structure, lists, names and amounts, and you can go back to the original anytime. It’s included in Plus and Premium and uses the plan’s normal AI limit.
Can I send HTML emails?
Yes, on both PC and phone, on every plan. In the composer, switch to the HTML editor: write or paste the code, check the faithful preview and send exactly that markup. You can save the layout as a reusable template (2 on Free, unlimited on Plus and Premium), synced across your devices.
Can I create email templates with AI?
Yes, with the Plus and Premium plans, on Windows and Android. Describe the template you need — purpose, sections, colors, tone — and AI generates a complete HTML email in one click: a table-based layout that works in real email clients, responsive, with placeholders for your logo and images that you swap for your own links. Check it in the preview, refine it and save it as a template. Generation uses your plan’s AI limits; the AI never creates images.
Is Mailamber fast with very large mailboxes?
Yes. In the latest versions for Windows and Android, syncing mailboxes with tens of thousands of emails is much faster: your inbox is ready right away and older mail arrives in the background without slowing the app down. Search runs on a local index, so it stays instant even on huge archives.
Can I block a sender?
Yes, with one click from the message: from then on, their future messages go straight to Trash. In Tools → Blocked senders you find the full list with the date and time of each block and can unblock instantly.
How does changing plans work?
With automatic proration. If you upgrade, you only pay the difference for the remaining period; if you downgrade, the change takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, at any moment, in two clicks from your account area. Your subscription stays active until the end of the period already paid, then you automatically go back to the Free plan without losing anything on your devices.
What if it’s not for me?
You have 14 days from the purchase of each subscription (the plan and each add-on) to get a full refund, even if you subscribe again after cancelling. Write to support@mailamber.app and we’ll refund you, no questions asked. Automatic renewals aren’t covered by the 14 days, but we review them case by case.
Which languages is Mailamber available in?
The app and website are available in English, Italian, Spanish, German, French and Portuguese. You can switch language in one click from the flag selector, in the app and on the website.
Is Mailamber an alternative to Thunderbird, Outlook, Mailbird or eM Client?
