PEC for Italian offices and companies

Certified email (PEC) as a first-class mailbox

PEC, the Italian certified email with the legal value of a registered letter, is added like any other mailbox, on PC and phone: Mailamber recognizes the provider, sets up the servers and tells you which password to use. PEC messages carry their own tag and receipts are recognizable at a glance.

Main providers detected automatically: Aruba PEC, Legalmail (InfoCert), Postecert and Postecertifica, Namirial, Register, Actalis, Libero PEC, TIM PEC. PEC on a custom domain is set up with the provider’s servers.
On Plus and Premium, full certification: acceptance and delivery receipts matched to the PEC you sent, dedicated notifications and an event timeline.

Nothing deleted from the server: receipts stay in your PEC mailbox, as in webmail.

The legal validity of a PEC depends on the provider and the receipts it issues, not on the app you read it with: Mailamber downloads them and shows them neatly, without altering them.

Your clients’ mail doesn’t pass through our servers

Mailamber is local-first: the app connects directly to your mail provider over encrypted IMAP and SMTP (TLS). Messages, attachments and passwords stay on your devices. For a professional office, that means one fewer party processing client correspondence.

How the local-first architecture works

Mailamber’s servers, in the European Union, only handle your account, plan, devices and encrypted synced settings.
Mailbox credentials are protected by the operating system (DPAPI on Windows, Keystore on Android) and never sent to Mailamber.
AI and tracking are optional: they go through our servers only if you use them, and tracking never stores the recipient’s IP in clear or their device.
No ads and no data selling: you pay for the software, not with your mail.

Billing that works for businesses

Payments through Paddle, our authorized reseller (merchant of record): Mailamber never sees or stores card details.
For a business invoice, enter your VAT number at checkout: Paddle applies it and handles VAT according to your country.
Receipts and invoices in the confirmation email of every payment and in the invoice portal of your account area.
Monthly or yearly, prices in euros with VAT included where applicable. Cancel anytime; within 14 days of buying each subscription (plan or add-on) you can ask for a full refund.

Can Mailamber be used for work, in an office or a company?

Yes. Mailamber is an email client for Windows and Android built for professional use too: it handles several work mailboxes (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, IMAP and Italian PEC) in one unified inbox, with read receipts, follow-ups, templates, signatures and rules. Each person uses their own Mailamber account.

Does Mailamber read or store my clients’ email?

No. The app connects directly to your provider over encrypted IMAP and SMTP: messages, attachments and passwords stay on your devices. Mailamber’s servers, in the EU, only handle your account, plan, devices and synced settings. AI and tracking go through our servers only if you choose to use them.

Do I get an invoice with my VAT number?

Yes. Payments are handled by Paddle, our authorized reseller, which issues receipts and invoices: enter your VAT number at checkout and Paddle handles VAT according to your country. Invoices arrive by email and are in the invoice portal of your account area.

Which PEC providers are supported?

Any PEC with IMAP/SMTP access. Mailamber detects and sets up the main ones on its own: Aruba PEC, Legalmail, Postecert, Postecertifica, Namirial, Register, Actalis, Libero PEC and TIM PEC. On Plus and Premium, acceptance and delivery receipts are matched automatically to the PEC you sent.

My Microsoft 365 work account asks for admin approval: what do I do?

It’s a security setting of your organization. Your Microsoft 365 administrator can grant consent to Mailamber for the whole organization in the Microsoft Entra admin center: our guide explains the steps.

Is there a team plan for several users?

Today plans are personal: each colleague creates their own Mailamber account and picks a plan, which covers all their devices, with their own invoice. If you’re evaluating Mailamber for several people, write to us through the contact form and we’ll help you choose.

Does it work on Mac or iPhone?

Not yet: today Mailamber is available for Windows 10 and 11 and for Android. macOS and iOS are on the roadmap.

Are read receipts compatible with recipients’ privacy?

Tracking is optional and off by default: you turn it on message by message. We record the time of opens and clicks and whether they were counted or excluded (bots, automatic opens, your own views), with a pseudonym of the IP: never the recipient’s IP in clear or their device. The tracking privacy guide also explains the obligations of those who use it.
