Open “Add account”, enter your address and password, and let Mailamber detect the servers for you. For Outlook, Hotmail and Live use “Sign in with Microsoft”; for Gmail you need an app password.

How do I add a mailbox on my PC?#

  1. In the sidebar, under Accounts, choose Add account.
  2. For Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live and Microsoft 365, press Sign in with Microsoft and follow the Microsoft guide. For every other mailbox, keep reading.
  3. Enter your Email address and Password. For Gmail, iCloud and Yahoo use an app password, not your regular one.
  4. Mailamber tries to configure the servers for you: once it finds the right ones and your password is accepted, you’ll see “Settings detected and verified”.
  5. Press Add account. Syncing starts right away in the background.

How do I add a mailbox on Android?#

  1. Tap Add mailbox: you’ll find it in the account switcher at the top, in Settings → Mailboxes, or in the inbox while it’s still empty.
  2. For Outlook, Hotmail and Live, tap Sign in with Microsoft.
  3. For other mailboxes, enter your address and Mailbox password, then tap Verify and add.

How does automatic detection work?#

Mailamber tries, in order: the known settings of the most popular providers, the public provider configuration database, the configuration published by your domain, DNS records, and finally the most common server names. Every guess is verified with your credentials before it’s accepted. If nothing works, the app shows you the fields to fill in by hand.

How do I set up the servers manually?#

Open Server settings (on the phone: Advanced server settings) and enter:

  • IMAP server and port: usually port 993 with TLS (recommended);
  • SMTP server and port: usually 465 (TLS) or 587 (STARTTLS).

Values for the most common providers are in the IMAP/SMTP server table. On the PC you can check them with Test connection and Test SMTP before saving.

How many mailboxes can I add?#

The Free plan includes 1 mailbox; Plus and Premium include unlimited mailboxes, all visible in the unified inbox. If you try to add a second one on Free, the app tells you: “The Free plan includes 1 mailbox. Upgrade to Plus to add more.”

How do I remove a mailbox?#

On the PC, hover over the mailbox in the sidebar, press the Remove account icon, then press it again to Confirm removal. On Android, go to Settings → Mailboxes and tap the mailbox you want to remove. Either way, the local mail and credentials are deleted from the device; the mailbox at your provider is left untouched.
