Devices, plan limits and Extra devices
In short
Every PC or phone you sign in on uses one device on your plan: 1 on Free, 2 on Plus, 5 on Premium. With Premium you can add 1 to 10 Extra devices at €1.99/month each. To free up a slot, remove a device from your account area or from the app.

Windows PCs and Android phones count the same: with Plus, for example, you can use one PC and one phone.
What happens when I reach the limit?#
The new device can’t activate the license. On the PC you’ll see “Plan device limit reached: manage devices from your account area on the site.” On Android the No free device slot screen appears: until you free up a slot you can’t add mailboxes or sync mail, but from there you can open Manage devices and then Try again.
How do I free up a slot?#
Remove a device you no longer use:
- from the account area on the website, Devices tab, with Remove;
- from the Mailamber account window in the Windows app;
- from the Android app, in Devices.
The device you’re using can’t remove itself. A removed device will need to sign in again to use the license. When you change PC or phone, remove the old one and sign in on the new one.
What are Extra devices?#
An add-on reserved for Premium: add 1 to 10 devices on top of the 5 included, at €1.99/month each. Pick the quantity with − and + in your account area and the price updates in real time. If you increase it, you pay only the difference for the current period right away; if you decrease it, the limit drops immediately and the new price applies from the next renewal.
What if I switch to a plan with fewer devices?#
The devices connected first keep working, up to the new limit. The others stay in the list as Blocked by plan until you remove them or raise the limit again.
