Smart Priority: important messages at the top
In short
Smart Priority pins urgent unread messages, deadlines and payments to the top of your mail, in the “Front & center” section. On the PC it runs on local rules and is on by default; AI refinement is optional and requires your consent.
Smart Priority is included in every plan, Free included.
What does Smart Priority do?#
It analyzes unread messages and highlights the ones that need your attention in the Front & center section, at the top of the list. Each message gets a tag:
- Reply now
- Double-check
- Deadline soon
- Payment
- Important
Once you read the message, it leaves the section and goes back to its place in date order.
Does it work without AI?#
Yes. On the PC, Smart Priority uses local rules that recognize requests, deadlines and payments in Italian and English text, right on your computer: nothing leaves your device. It’s on by default; you’ll find it in Settings → Mail → Front & center messages (Smart Priority).
What does “AI priority” add?#
AI priority is optional and off by default. When you turn it on, for new messages the local rules can’t assess, Mailamber sends the AI the sender, subject and a short excerpt to refine the tags. It uses only free AI models, is available on every plan and doesn’t count toward your AI limit. Before you turn it on, the app asks for your AI consent.
How does it work on Android?#
On the phone, Smart Priority is turned on in Settings → Features and is off by default. It uses AI: it sends the sender and subject of new unread messages, automatically a few times a day, even with the app in the background. Before you turn it on, the app shows you what gets sent and asks for your consent.
How do I turn it off?#
Switch off the toggle in Settings: the Front & center section disappears and your mail goes back to plain date order. If you withdraw your AI consent, AI priority switches off immediately on every device.
