Tracking Pro: link click tracking and unlimited tracking
In short
Tracking Pro is a €5.99/month add-on for the Plus and Premium plans. It removes the monthly limits on tracked emails and follow-ups and adds link click tracking. You turn it on from your account area and the app unlocks by itself.
What does Tracking Pro include?#
- Unlimited tracked emails: no more monthly quota for read receipts.
- Unlimited follow-ups: reminders with no limit.
- Link clicks: for every tracked email you see how many times the links you wrote get clicked: the click count appears next to the ticks in the list, and in the Tracking view and each email’s timeline you get the clicks per link, with the time of the latest one (how email tracking works).
- First-click notification: besides the first open, you get an alert the first time someone clicks a link in a tracked email (“First click on a link”), only once per email and never for scanners. It’s available from Windows 1.14.0 and Android 1.4.0 (Notifications).
How much does it cost and who can get it?#
€5.99/month, monthly only, even if your plan is yearly. It’s available for the Plus and Premium plans. Payment goes through Paddle, as with plans (details).
How do I turn it on?#
- Sign in to the account area on the website.
- In the Plan tab, Add-ons section, press Activate Tracking Pro.
- Complete the payment. Within a few minutes the app unlocks by itself, on all your devices, with nothing to install.
In the app’s Settings, in the Mail section, you’ll see “Tracking Pro active: link clicks too”.
How does click tracking work?#
When you send, Mailamber replaces the links you wrote (up to 50 per message) with a redirect address on Mailamber’s servers, which counts the click and immediately takes the reader to the original page. Links inside the quoted text of a reply or forward aren’t touched. On the phone, clicks are tracked on HTML messages.
As with opens, we record the time of the click, the link and whether the click was counted or excluded (for example because it was made by a security scanner), with a pseudonym of the IP computed with a secret key: never the IP address in clear or the device of the person clicking. How do I turn it off?#
From the account area, in two clicks: the add-on stays active until the end of the month you’ve already paid for, then switches off with no penalties. If your paid plan ends, Tracking Pro’s features are suspended too.
